MEXICO CITY—Two previous senior Mexican law enforcement officers, top rated aides of the person who ran the country’s drug war for six years, ended up indicted Thursday in New York on rates of having millions of dollars in bribes from the Sinaloa Cartel in trade for defense and allowing tons of its cocaine to circulation through Mexico unhindered.

Luis Cárdenas Palomino and Ramón Pequeño ended up charged with three counts of cocaine trafficking conspiracy.
