Alexei Navalny, Rival to Putin, in Critical Condition After Suspected Poisoning

MOSCOW—Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, a fierce critic of President Vladimir Putin and Moscow’s political elite, was admitted to the intensive-care device at a Siberian hospital right after a suspected poisoning still left him unconscious, his spokeswoman mentioned.

Mr. Navalny began to really feel unwell on a flight to Moscow almost an hour right after ingesting tea in the airport of the Siberian town of Tomsk early Thursday, Kira Yarmysh told The Wall Street Journal. Although in the air, the airplane crew searched for a doctor among the travellers.
