Brazil Moves Away from Chinese Covid-19 Vaccine

SÃO PAULO—Brazil, a key purchaser of China’s CoronaVac shot and a poster boy or girl for Beijing’s endeavours at vaccine diplomacy, is building a fast retreat from the Covid-19 vaccine as concerns grow about its efficacy against the Delta variant and other vaccines develop into far more readily offered.

Brazil’s federal federal government has halted negotiations about extra doses of Sinovac’s vaccine, CoronaVac, spokespeople for the federal government and its area producer, the Butantan Institute, told The Wall Avenue Journal. The federal government has also reported it won’t suggest use of CoronaVac for a third booster shot.
