Canadian law enforcement on Sunday arrested protesters and towed autos to clear access to a crucial bridge connecting Detroit with the Canadian border city of Windsor, Ontario, a move nearby officers hope will close a week of financial turbulence.
Law-enforcement and border officers did not immediately say when the 1.6-mile Ambassador Bridge may well reopen. Windsor law enforcement explained Sunday afternoon that they have been performing as fast as they could to restore the movement of targeted traffic on the bridge.
