MARKET LIVE: Sensex flat, Nifty below 9,900; Muthoot Finance jumps 9%
Benchmark indices ended up trading flat with a negative bias on Thursday as market participants remained careful forward of the Supreme Court hearing on AGR dues. The ongoing India-China border tensions also kept investor sentiment in check.
The S&P BSE Sensex dipped fifty five factors to 33,450 concentrations and the Nifty50 index hovered close to 9,870. ONGC (down two%) was the prime Sensex loser even though Infosys was up 1 for each cent. Among the unique shares, Muthoot Finance surged around 9 for each cent to Rs 1,095 after declaring its March quarter results.
The pattern amongst sectoral indices was mixed, with Nifty Lender index trading .four for each cent lessen.
In comparison, the broader market outperformed the benchmarks. The S&P BSE MidCap and SmallCap indexes ended up trading .six and .eight for each cent bigger, respectively.
