Precursor to Bay low shows up over Gulf of Thailand

India Meteorological Division (IMD) says it has spotted a cyclonic circulation around the Gulf of Thailand (to the East of the Andaman Sea/Bay of Bengal), a likely precursor to the formation of the expected new lower-stress location around the North Andaman Sea by Friday.

The lower is envisioned to transfer north-westwards in direction of north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts with gradual intensification into a despair during the subsequent two-3 days. This will result in enhanced rainfall around North Andhra Pradesh during eleven-13 Oct, the IMD mentioned.
