U.K. Suspends Extradition Treaty With Hong Kong

LONDON—The British governing administration suspended its extradition treaty with Hong Kong in response to Beijing’s conclusion to impose a new security law on the previous British colony, the most recent signal of deteriorating diplomatic relations involving Western nations and China.

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab advised Parliament on Monday that the extradition treaty would be suspended indefinitely and that the U.K. would bar arms gross sales to Hong Kong, ratcheting up force about what the British governing administration says is a draconian security law.
