14 States finalise action plan for agri export policy: Commerce Ministry
As several as 14 States, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu and Assam, have finalised the Point out-certain motion plan for agriculture export policy (AEP), when the remaining States are at distinct levels of finalisation of their respective designs, the Commerce Ministry has mentioned.
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Enhancement Authority (Apeda) is engaged with all States and UTs for implementation of the AEP and has also signed MoUs with AFC India Ltd, and Countrywide Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), Delhi, to utilise their expertise in the agriculture sector, as per an formal release circulated on Tuesday.
The other States that have finalised the motion designs consist of Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur and Sikkim.
The aim of the larger sized AEP, of which the Point out designs are a section, is to double farmers’ revenue and also double agriculture exports from the region around the future couple a long time.
